Qdoba Expands Vegan Options With Brand-New Menu Item
Qdoba, a restaurant chain known for its Mexican-inspired menu, just added a new vegan item nationwide. The delicious Grilled Fajita Vegan Bowl features brown rice, black beans, sautéed vegetables, guacamole, corn salsa, pico de gallo, and salsa verde.
This is not the first time the restaurant chain has embraced plant-based options. After a successful trial in Michigan, Qdoba brought plant-based meat from Impossible Foods to all locations across the country. Flavored with tomatoes, garlic, smoked chilis, paprika, and red onion, the protein-packed crumbles allow customers to create their own meals.
In a press statement, Jill Adams, Qdoba’s vice president of marketing, explained:
During our test, we quickly learned that consumers loved our unique take on Impossible, making it an easy decision to launch nationally. Our Impossible offering appeals to both meat lovers and vegans, while also delivering on the big, bold flavors that we’re known for.
Vegan food is taking restaurants all over the country by storm! Subway will offer plant-based meatballs from Beyond Meat in its newly created Beyond Meatball Marinara, available at select locations this September. Burger King just launched the Impossible Whopper nationwide, so customers all around the country can enjoy a vegan version of BK’s most famous menu item. And multinational company Dunkin’ became the first U.S. chain to offer plant-based sausage from Beyond Meat!
