Back in 2017, Starbucks CEO Kevin Johnson told analysts that the company would work to add even more vegan options at Starbucks: “Plant-based beverages and alternatives [are a] big area of opportunity for us, and our customers are asking for it.” These new vegan choices are part of the company’s plan to add more plant-based options to its lineup.
