Therapy Pigs Give Alzheimer’s Patients Some Needed Love

This heartwarming story comes out of Colorado, where two therapy pigs are visiting patients suffering from Alzheimer’s and other memory problems at a nursing home in the Denver area.
According to USA Today, “Every weekend, Pumba and Boris the one-year-old potbellied pigs visit with seniors living with Alzheimer’s at Highline Place in Littleton.”
Much like other therapy animals, including dogs, these precious pigs give residents at this nursing home some much-needed affection, and always put smiles on their faces.
