Savory Vegan Pizza Rolls Now Available at This Cinnamon Roll Chain
The award-winning vegan cinnamon roll chain Cinnaholic just launched its first savory option: pizza rolls!
Founded in 2009 in Berkeley, California, Cinnaholic boasts a completely plant-based menu that allows customers to build their own mouthwatering cinnamon rolls. The restaurant has been a hit with vegans and non-vegans alike. Founders Florian and Shannon Radke even received a $200,000 investment in 2014 when they appeared on the reality show Shark Tank.
But this is the first time the company has dabbled in savory foods. Cinnaholic president Spencer Reid stated:
Few foods are collectively celebrated like pizza, and the fact that we’re a cinnamon roll bakery can’t stop us from bringing the “sauce” to our fans.
The new rolls combine marinara sauce and delicious cheese shreds from Daiya Foods. Daiya Foods vice president of marketing Dan Hua weighed in:
We’re delighted by the opportunity to provide Cinnaholic with our Cutting Board Cheese Shreds to create their savory Pizza Rolls. As two brands that are dedicated to providing consumers with only the highest quality plant-based products, this partnership was a natural fit for us.
Hungry customers can find the new option at all Cinnaholic locations, and there’s likely one close to you. Just last year, Cinnaholic announced it would expand with 136 new locations—including Texas, Florida, Ohio, and North Carolina, as well as its first international stores in Canada!
