Gordon Ramsay has welcomed vegan chef and Los Angeles food truck owner Chanel Goodson to compete on his new television show, Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars.

The new series, which debuts on May 24, features a group of food and drink entrepreneurs competing for the celebrity chef’s $250,000 investment in their business.

Goodson is no stranger to running a successful business. She reportedly worked in marketing for restaurants and food-delivery services before starting her business, Vegan AF, in her kitchen. Vegan AF now operates out of a hot-pink food truck, which has been deemed one of the best vegan food trucks in Los Angeles and even America.

The truck is known for massive deep-fried egg rolls in unique varieties, such as Philly cheesesteak, cheeseburger, and pizza. Customers can also enjoy loaded fries, chicken nuggets, and banana pudding.

Ramsay has had a history of snubbing vegans and vegan food through much of his career, but in recent years he seems to have changed his tune. In 2021 vegan contestants competed on Hell’s Kitchen for the first time in the show’s 17-year run. And Ramsay has added vegan options to his own restaurant menus, with his Washington, DC, location boasting a 60% meat-free menu.

We are thrilled to watch Goodson compete on Food Stars and can’t wait to see if she wins Ramsay’s cash. As more and more people choose a plant-based lifestyle and vegan food becomes more popular than ever, we can’t think of a better investment.
