Celebrated vegan cheesemaker Miyoko Schinner announced that her company would soon debut a line of nut-free cheese.

For years, Miyoko’s cheeses have delighted vegans and non-vegans alike, with such mouthwatering varieties as Winter Truffle and Herbes de Provence. But the cheeses are all nut-based, leaving those allergic out of luck. Now everyone will be able to enjoy Miyoko’s cheeses, especially since they’re sold in more stores than ever, including Trader Joe’s and Target. The new nut-free line will also be more affordable.

So what will the new line of cheese be made from? Schinner said the company was looking to chickpeas, butter beans, and seeds to up the protein profile. The plant-based cheese will have more protein and fiber than dairy cheese and half the calories.

We can’t wait to try Miyoko’s new cheeses. In the meantime, if you’re avoiding nuts, many delicious nut-free vegan cheeses, from brands such as Daiya and Follow Your Heart, are already on the market!
