Beyond Meat is taking the fast-food world by storm, and Carl’s Jr. just became the latest chain to offer the acclaimed Beyond Burger. The fresh vegan burger “bleeds” pulverized beet juice; looks, smells, and tastes like meat; and has been met with much fanfare in the U.S. and around the world.

Available January 2 at all 1,000 Carl’s Jr. locations nationwide (not including Hardee’s restaurants), this new burger is sure to make plant-based eating easier for the millions of people who are moving away from meat.

Carl’s Jr. will sell this vegan patty as part of an exciting new menu item: The Beyond Famous Star burger. A meat-free alternative to the chain’s Famous Star burger, the charbroiled patty is served on a vegan bun and topped with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, and special sauce. Just don’t forget to skip the cheese and mayo, as they contain dairy or eggs.

While the Beyond Famous Star burger will sell for $6.29, the Beyond Burger can be added to any sandwich for $2.

Carl’s Jr. isn’t the first fast-food chain to serve up the Beyond Burger. In July, the Beyond Burger made its debut at A&W Canada. And just this month, Del Taco announced it would add Beyond Meat’s savory crumbles to the menu at 21 restaurants in Southern California, including San Diego, Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties.

With vegan foods becoming more accessible, it’s never been easier to ditch animal products. In fact, as meat consumption declines, sales of delicious plant-based products are soaring. Vegan meats are expected to make up a third of the protein market by 2054.

By transitioning to a plant-based lifestyle, you can join the growing number of people who are taking a stand for animals, the environment, and their own health. For delicious vegan recipes, easy meal ideas, and tips for making the switch, order your FREE Vegetarian Starter Guide today.
