Mickey Mouse-Shaped Chik’n Nuggets

MorningStar Farms—a vegetarian company that has pledged to go completely vegan by 2021—has launched plant-based Mickey Mouse-shaped nuggets under its Incogmeato line. The kid-friendly nuggets are non-GMO, soy-based, and adorable. Sara Young, general manager of plant-based proteins at Kellogg, stated:

We saw a craving for more family-friendly plant-based options and as a mom myself I knew we had a big opportunity with Incogmeato. We are so delighted to be working with Disney to help land plant-based proteins on the plates of kids nationwide.

New Field Roast Cheeses

Vegan company Field Roast announced this month it would release five new vegan cheese products in its tasty cheese line, Chao Creamery. The new offerings are the company’s Creamy Original and Mexican Style flavors in shreds, a Creamy Original block, and two additional slices: Smoked Original and Spicy Original. You can expect these flavorful new options to hit store shelves in the coming weeks!

Jamba Juice Vegan Pumpkin Smash Smoothie

On September 1, Jamba Juice began offering its Pumpkin Smash Smoothie in two versions: original and plant-based. The plant-based version blends pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, Oatly oat milk, and So Delicious oat milk ice cream. This is the first time Jamba Juice has offered a vegan version of the smoothie!

At the beginning of this month, Trader Joe’s launched a new vegan milk chocolate bar called the Organic Almond Beverage Chocolate Bar. Made with Trader Joe’s Almond Beverage and mixed with cocoa butter, cane sugar, cocoa beans, sea salt, and ground vanilla beans, the treat took months to perfect. Trader Joe’s marketing director Tara Miller stated:

It just tasted like really good creamy milk chocolate. And I feel like our vegan customers are going to absolutely flip for that particular bar.

Kite Hill Cultured Almond Butter

Plant-based dairy brand Kite Hill has debuted its newest product: plant-based butter alternative. The new spread—made with cultured almond milk and a blend of oils—is crafted using traditional butter-making methods. Although currently exclusive to Whole Foods Market, the vegan butter will soon be available at Target.

Ben & Jerry’s Cinnamon Bun Dough Chunks

Ben & Jerry’s fans can use the seasonal, tasty vegan Cinnamon Bun Dough Chunks as ice cream toppers or snack on them right out of the bag! The limited-edition treat is available at select supermarkets and Ben & Jerry’s shops. Jody Eley, Ben & Jerry’s innovation manager, said:

There’s no better way to ignore the heat and start planning for season’s greetings. The Cinnamon Bun Dough Chunks will get you in the mood for special weekend brunches, and they’re vegan!

Plant-based brand Upton’s Naturals has the perfect thing to keep you warm this winter: meaty vegan soups! Coming to us this fall, the flavors include Italian Wedding, Chick Tortilla, and Chick & Noodle, with satisfying ingredients like seitan, black beans, tomatoes, thyme, and rosemary.

Field Roast Nuggets

Eagle-eyed shoppers have likely spotted Field Roast’s plant-based nuggets in the freezer sections of an expanding list of grocery stores, including Albertsons and Sobeys. Made with roasted garlic, wheat, and pea protein, the breaded nuggets are perfect for snacking. Dan Curtin, president of Field Roast parent company Greenleaf Foods, stated:

Remember the joy that a chicken nugget could bring you as a kid? We’re bringing that back with an absolutely delicious plant-based nugget that’s easy to prepare, flavorful on its own, yet still stands up to dips and sauces. And they’re not just for kids—adults are going to crave these, too.

Renegade Food Salami

Brand-new plant-based company Renegade Food recently launched its first vegan salami! Available for purchase online, the salami comes in three flavors: smoked Calabrian-style soppressata, sweet Italian Toscana, and spicy Spanish-style chorizo. Renegade Food co-founder Iona Campbell stated:

We believe our unique approach in using whole foods and traditional smoking techniques will dramatically change perceptions at the deli counter and win over vegans and omnivores.

Vegan Pepperoni at Papa Murphy’s

Hormel—the owner of SPAM—has launched a new plant-based brand, Happy Little Plants! Their latest product, vegan pepperoni, will be offered at national pizza chain Papa Murphy’s. While Papa Murphy’s does not have vegan cheese (yet!), you can order a cheeseless original or thin-crust pizza and load up on veggies and the new soy-based pepperoni.

Flora Plant Butter

New Flora Plant Butter is made from a blend of responsibly sourced palm and other oils and is packaged in eco-friendly paper. Now available at select Kroger stores nationwide, the butter comes in salted and unsalted flavors. Bernice Chao, brand lead for Flora parent company Upfield North America, stated:
