Field Roast Pepperoni

Early this month, plant-based company Field Roast launched soy-free vegan pepperoni made with pea protein. The slices even feature “fat marbling” to make them look more authentic! Spiced with fennel, cracked black pepper, garlic, and paprika, this tasty topping will soon be available at grocery stores in the United States and Canada.

Breyers Almond Milk Ice Cream

Huge ice cream brand Breyers just launched two new vegan flavors at grocery stores across the country. Made with almond milk, the tempting new flavors are mint chocolate chip and chocolate chocolate chip and join other flavors in the brand’s dairy-free line: OREO and vanilla peanut butter.

Parmela Creamery Aged Cheddar

This past September, vegan brand Parmela Creamery launched two new cheese flavors at Whole Foods Market locations nationwide. Crafted from cultured cashew milk, the tantalizing new flavors are sharp cheddar and smoky Gouda and are part of Parmela’s new Batch 36 product line, along with mild cheddar, mozzarella, Fiery Jack, and American. Batch 36 products are aged up to 60 days before being sold. Chief Marketing Officer Parker Salomone stated:

Customers value the time-tested cheesemaking methods that we hold dear. We call it “aging and culturing perfected” for a reason.

Planet Oat Creamers

Dairy-free line Planet Oat recently launched three vegan creamers: French vanilla, caramel, and coffee cake. They join the line’s other tasty oat milk flavors: original, extra creamy, vanilla, and dark chocolate.

Oven-Baked ParmCrisps

While ParmCrisps is not a dairy-free brand, in October of last year, it released its first vegan line. Exclusively available at Whole Foods Market, the vegan ParmCrisps come in sea salt and black pepper flavors. ParmCrisps CEO Sam Kestenbaum explained:

When we noticed a trend toward plant-based snacking, we partnered with Whole Foods to create a solution for both our consumers and our retail partners. Plant-Based ParmCrisps is that solution, and it tastes so good that we’re confident both mainstream and plant-based consumers will fall in love.

Pure Farmland Plant-Based Breakfast Links

Under its Pure Farmland brand, Smithfield has launched plant-based breakfast links. The links come in savory original, maple, and mild Italian. The new products are gluten-free, made from soy protein, and available at grocery stores nationwide.

Smithfield’s choice to embrace plant-based products is a step in the right direction. With a history of animal cruelty and harming local communities, Smithfield urgently needs to get out of the business of factory farming animals.

Sprouts Vegan Burgers

At the end of last year, national grocery chain Sprouts Farmers Market added vegan burgers to its Butcher Shop line. Made with portobello mushrooms, pea protein, onions, and beets, the burgers are available at all Sprouts locations. Shoppers can grab a package of two in the frozen meat section.

Elmhurst Soft Serve

Elmhurst—a one-time dairy giant that has since gone plant-based—recently launched a vegan soft-serve ice cream mix in vanilla and chocolate flavors. When consumers are ready for ice cream, they can pop the mix into an ice cream machine and customize it with granola, chocolate chips, nuts, or whatever else their hearts desire.

Trader Joe’s Tzatziki and Caramelized Onion Dips

Trader Joe’s manager Amy Gaston-Morales announced in a company podcast that the grocery chain is expecting plant-based tzatziki and caramelized-onion dips this year. Gaston-Morales stated:

Within [a tasting] panel, I want to say everyone agreed that they actually tasted better or the same as the full dairy versions.

Chobani Oat Milk Cold Brew

Famous for its Greek yogurt, Chobani recently launched a line of vegan cold brew featuring two flavors: Cold Brew Pure Black and Cold Brew with Oat Milk.
