Heads Up! Halo Top Now Makes Seven Vegan Flavors

It seems that every time I turn around, another major ice cream brand is rolling out some drool-worthy dairy-free flavors. And in case you missed it, the newest addition to the growing list is Halo Top, a company that prides itself on creating low-calorie, high-protein, and low-sugar ice cream.

So, in other words, it is officially the Year of Vegan Ice Cream!

With products sold in the United States and Australia, Halo Top has announced plans to roll out seven entirely vegan flavors made with coconut milk, all of which are still under 360 calories. I mean, how is that even possible?! I’m beyond curious to find out how they do it, and if you’re feeling that way too, don’t fret—these bad boys will hit freezer shelves starting mid-October!

Just check out these flavors: Oatmeal Cookie, Caramel Macchiato, Chocolate, Cinnamon Roll, Chocolate Covered Banana, Peanut Butter Cup, and Sea Salt Caramel!

According to Time, “Halo Top CEO Justin Woolverton said in a statement that the ‘number one request’ he gets from customers is to make vegan and non-dairy friendly lines of the ice cream.”

Honestly, this news should come as no surprise—vegan ice cream is more popular than ever. While all-vegan brands like Tofutti and So Delicious have been around for years, this year we’ve seen several big names in the ice cream business throw their hats into the ring, including Breyers and Häagen-Dazs.
