Guests of Disney’s newest cruise ship will have vegan options at each of the ship’s three restaurants! Disney Wish will embark on its maiden voyage in June 2022 and carry up to 4,000 passengers. Disney Cruise Line stated:

Each and every one of our menus will have vegan offerings. Taking care of allergies and special requirements is extremely important to us. We want families to sail with peace of mind.

While this is an exciting sign of progress, Disney Cruise Line already offers vegan options on request. And some of its ships feature menus with plant-based items, including vegan eggs, chili dogs, and chocolate truffle cake.

Last year, Disney partnered with Impossible Foods to make the Impossible Burger Disney’s “preferred plant-based burger,” available at locations in Walt Disney World and Disneyland and on Disney Cruise Line ships. At the time, Disneyland Resort culinary director John State said:

We’re excited to add more items featuring the Impossible Burger to our menus. We’re always looking for ways to bring more flavor, innovation, and creativity to the Disney dining experience and we’re delighted to include Impossible Foods in new dishes that our guests and fans are sure to enjoy.

In 2019, Disney added more than 400 plant-based items to Walt Disney World and Disneyland menus. Every quick- and table-service restaurant at every park now has vegan-friendly options, such as Asian dumplings at Epcot, a chili-spiced fried tofu bowl at Animal Kingdom, and a cashew cheesecake at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
