Vegan ice cream is more popular than ever. While vegan brands like So Delicious and Tofutti have been around for years, it’s only recently that several big names in the (dairy) ice cream game have decided to capitalize on the growing demand for nondairy alternatives.
One of the first major companies to expand into nondairy territory, Ben & Jerry’s currently offers seven mouthwatering flavors that are certified vegan and made with creamy almond milk. These flavors can be found at stores across America, and the company recently announced that its beloved dairy-free flavors would soon be available in the U.K.
Now Ben & Jerry’s is taking suggestions for its next nondairy flavor! The company explains:

We know you love our exciting Non-Dairy flavors, from the sumptuous peanut butter swirls in PB & Cookies to the coconutty cacophony of Coconut Seven Layer Bar. You’ve rocked out to Cherry Garcia and dived into the deep, dark depths of Chocolate Fudge Brownie and loved every minute of it. But, what’s next? What flavor adventure should be the newest to grace the shelves of the Non-Dairy section?

Of all farmed animals at today’s factory farms, dairy cows receive some of the worst treatment. They are repeatedly impregnated so that they constantly produce milk, have their newborn calves taken away from them shortly after giving birth, and have to stand in filthy stalls where they can barely move—all so that farmers can steal their milk.
As more people discover the animal cruelty and vast environmental destruction inherent in animal agriculture, they’re eating fewer animal products or ditching them altogether in favor of plant-based foods. Ready to try vegan ice cream for yourself? Click here for 12 of our favorite flavors.
