Youth Empowered Action (YEA) Camp is a life-changing vegan summer camp for 12-to-17-year-olds who are determined to make a big difference for the social justice causes they care about.

For the past 14 years, young people from all over the country have come together each summer for leadership and activism training so they can effectively address issues related to animal rights, racial and gender equality, climate change, poverty, gun violence, and more.

As a social justice camp, YEA Camp serves food that aligns with its core values, which is why it offers only delicious vegan food that’s also fair-trade, organic, and locally produced when possible. Attendees don’t have to be vegan to attend, but they’ll surely love the “kid-friendly vegan” meals served each day. According to YEA Camp’s website, the food garners rave reviews year after year—even from people who typically eat animal products.

This year’s camp will take place from July 1 to July 9, in Hinsdale, Massachusetts. Not in the area? No problem! Campers and staff will fly in from around the country to attend. According to YEA Camp, staff will even pick attendees up from the airport if they need a ride!

Through YEA Camp, young people will build their confidence, develop skills, make incredible like-minded friends, and leave with an action plan and a community to support them in making a difference in a cause of their choice when they go home. Past camp attendees have gone on to do inspiring things like change school policies and start clubs, help candidates get elected, and organize protests.
