Vegan Whipped Cream From Reddi-wip Is Hitting Store Shelves Now

Last fall, Reddi-wip announced plans to release dairy-free whipped cream made from almond and coconut milk, citing the growing interest in plant-based, dairy-free foods. While a date for the release of this new product wasn’t announced at the time, two new dairy-free varieties have started showing up on store shelves!

The new product—which comes in an aerosol can—is available in coconut milk and almond milk varieties. While the Reddi-wip site still makes no mention of this exciting new product line, given the brand’s wide distribution, the additions will undoubtedly make dairy-free eating easier than ever.

As more people discover the animal cruelty and vast environmental destruction inherent in dairy production, they’re ditching dairy in favor of healthful plant-based foods. This news is yet another indication that dairy is on the way out.

Food producers like Reddi-wip are taking advantage of the expanding market for animal-free foods by adding more plant-based options to their product lines. But with so many delicious alternatives already widely available, it’s never been easier to ditch cruel animal products. Ready to get started? Click here for 17 vegan products that’ll make you forget all about dairy.

P.S. Be careful! Reddi-wip currently offers a so-called nondairy variety that contains sodium caseinate, a dairy protein. WHY????
