Follow Your Heart has built a name for itself with delicious dairy-free cheeses and its famed vegan mayo, Vegenaise. Now the company is unveiling yet another new and improved product: dairy-free sour cream! While the company has offered a vegan sour cream alternative for years, the recipe has been reformulated to be even tastier, using coconut for creaminess instead of soy.

In an announcement on its site, the company shares:

We’ve updated the recipe for our beloved Sour Cream to be creamier, tastier, and soy-free! Starting soon, you’ll see a brand new, bright green package for Follow Your Heart Dairy-Free Sour Cream. It’s lactose-free, gluten-free, soy-free, preservative-free, vegan, plant-based, and the only way you’ll believe how good it is… is to try it yourself.

As vegan eating gains popularity, companies like Follow Your Heart are taking advantage of the expanding plant-based food market. This new offering is hitting store shelves now, so if your local grocer isn’t carrying it, be sure to make a request! Click here to find Follow Your Heart products at a store near you.

This new sour cream from Follow Your Heart is just one sign of changing times. A 2017 report by the Plant Based Foods Association and The Good Food Institute shows a more than 20 percent increase from the previous year in purchases of dairy alternatives, such as vegan cheese, ice cream, and yogurt, for a total of over $700 million in sales. Plus, a recent survey from agribusiness giant Cargill reveals that half of U.S. dairy consumers also use vegan dairy alternatives.

So it should come as no surprise that this dairy-free sour cream is far from the only amazing new vegan product coming to grocery aisles. We’ve compiled a list of the best new vegan products that you can actually find at a store near you, so add these yummy new options to your shopping list!
